As well, the botanic gardens are open to the public.The best time to enjoy the full abundance of the Olds College Botanic Gardens is in late July when the irises are blooming; however, there are stunning displays in the summer and fall as well. Olds is close to the Rocky Mountains and just a half hour drive to Red Deer or to Calgary.
