British Columbia Marine and Water Life Field Trip Ideas

Marine Life Photography has beautiful photography of marine life in British Columbia, including BC fishes.

Botanical Beach - Juan de Fuca Provincial Park

Rich tide pools, a shoreline full of life and fantastic geological features impress visitors to Botanical Beach, a "natural Jewel" in the newly created Juan de Fuca Provincial Park . The remarkable potholes, with purple urchins, rusty red sea stars and mint green anemones, can be explored around low tide. The Beecher Bay to Port Renfrew ocean area grows about 275 of the 500 different Sea weeds found on the west coast of Vancouver Island, BC.

Vancouver Aquarium - Vancouver

The Vancouver Aquarium has numerous marine life educational programs from Kindergarten through high school, and home school as well. The school programs support the Prescribed Learning Outcomes of the BC Ministry of Education's Integrated Resource Packages (IRPs) and follow the Aquarium's conservation mission.
