Learn Greek

Would you like to learn Greek? As you would expect, Greek is the official language of Greece and Cyprus. However, throughout the world you'll find millions of people who speak Greek as their first language, places like: Albania, Canada, Turkey, and the United States. So you may have another 14 million people you can speak with after you learn Greek.

There are 24 letters in the Greek alphabet: 17 consonants and 7 vowels. Just like English, Greek is currently written from left to right.


Free Online Resources to Learn Greek

Here's a start - An Introduction to Modern Greek by J. David Eisenberg, will start you off. The free online course provides a logically laid out approach to learning the language, and includes audio as well. You'll begin learning the Greek Alphabet, Greek Numbers, Greek Grammar, Basic Greek Grammar, Greek Verbs (in-depth) and other miscellaneous topics. You'll find yourself reading Greek in no time.


Free Online English Greek Dictionary

Babel Fish Translation provides translation from English to Greek and Greek to English, (as well as French to Greek to French.) You can translate words, phrase, paragraphs or websites.
