Ontario Science Field Trip Ideas

Would you like a science field trip idea for saving money? Here's a tip from my family of 4. We found the Associate Membership (out-of-town by 100 kms) at the "Canada Science and Technology Museum Corporation" in Ottawa was the best membership for us. It costs $40, and it also gives unlimited free admission to the Ontario Science Centre (if you live outside the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)) and Science North (if you live outside of Sudbury), along with other centres across Canada and over 250 science centres in the USA.

Science North - Sudbury

Science North is a world-renowned science centre and perhaps Northern Ontario's most popular tourist attraction.

Visitors can get up close to a porcupine and flying squirrels, build a robot in the LEGO Mindstorms Robotic Lab, walk amidst hundreds of free-flying tropical butterflies in the F. Jean MacLeod Butterfly Gallery, and experience the Science Centre's innovative Object Theatres, plus an awful lot more.

Dynamic Earth is Science North’s Newest Attraction! This earth sciences and mining centre invites you inside the planet to explore the mighty forces of nature and the history of mining. It combines both above and below ground experiences as you slowly descend in a glass-enclosed elevator 7 stories into the Inco chasm.
