Learn to Type For Free

If you're going to use a computer, you need to learn how to type.

I grew up calling it typing, because we still used a typewriter. You might also know it as keyboarding. Either way, you can hunt and peck, and take forever to type a message to someone, or you could learn to use the correct fingers, and find keys faster. I think you'll choose the later (or you wouldn't be checking this page).

Some programs teaching you to type are costly, so I was happy to find this website, so that I could pass it on to you. IT'S FREE!

freetypinggame.net includes typing lessons and games to make practicing fun, at all levels. You can compare your score with others around the world. You can also do typing tests to see how many words a minute you can type. It's free (I said that already), and you don't have to register or download anything to make it work! I love it.

However, if you want to load a CD into your computer, so you don't have to be online - another fantastic program that I've used, and has been around forever, is "Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing". You can probably find it at numerous software stores near your house.
