Physical Education
I knew it in school as PE (Physical Education) or Gym. Every time we turn around we hear encouragement to get active, and now you’ll hear it again. GET MOVING!!!
Books and computers are good, but get out of the house. Explore your backyard, neighbourhood, parks, forests and streams. When you’re exploring, you’re being physically active, and that’s a good place to start. Fresh air and natural sunlight are both vital for our health and good sleep at night. Try to get outside, at least once every day. Remember to dress appropriately for the weather.
Just walking around may not be giving your body the full work out it needs. But don’t just think about running around and aerobics. You have your whole body to consider. So when you plan your exercise time, take a look at each of the sections below for ideas.
